Xander is the third child of Karl and Pandora Whitepaw, and their second son, named after Karl's favourite grandfather, Alexander. He and his sister, Kalika, grew up virtually inseperable, doing everything together until he was seventeen when he announced that he intended to become an apprentice Hunter-Ranger with Jacinta as his teacher. Both Kalika and Pandora were upset, and Karl had to lay down the law and gave his blessing to his son's decision. After he graduated, he accepted the proposals of a vixen hunting team and took all three as his denmates. He had a highly successful career and eventually achieved the rank of Chief Hunter.
